Sergio Gascon has more than 25 years of professional experience that includes CPA public accounting, small business consulting and lending. He is passionate about small business and understands its intricacies from launching an enterprise to profitable management. As a former business owner he was recognized by Hispanic Magazine as one of the top 100 entrepreneurs in the United States.
In his current position as Executive Director at USC, he oversees the delivery of general management consulting services and business education to established small business owners. Additionally, his office helps with securing business financing and contracting opportunities with government and private entities.
Since 2006, USC’s Los Angeles Minority Business Enterprise Center provided assistance that resulted in more than $69 million in awarded transactions and the businesses served were able to create more than 218 new jobs. Mr. Gascon plans to build on past success and develop new strategic ways to provide more added-value services to the small business community.
