About Us

Farmers & Merchants Savings Bank is a community bank serving Northeast Iowa since 1925. Our roots began in the then bustling town of Waterville when a group of progressive neighbors realized that a town like Waterville should not be without a bank.

Our association with Waukon was established in 1962 when both Waterville and Waukon citizens once again raised additional capital so the bank's charter could be moved to Waukon.

In 1985 Farmers & Merchants opened its present facility at 201 West Main Street and in 2004 we expanded our opportunity to provide full service banking to northeast Iowa by opening a branch office in the Super Walmart in Decorah.

We are a progressive bank offering a full line of bank products and brokerage services*. Behind those products we offer exceptional, personal service from our staff in Waukon and in Decorah. We want you to benefit from and enjoy your banking experience with us.
