The West Volusia Historical Society, founded in 1973, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to researching, preserving, and sharing the rich history of West Volusia County. The Society manages The Henry A. DeLand House Museum and the Conrad Research Center, offering a comprehensive historical perspective of the City of DeLand. Additionally, the Society curates specialized exhibits in the DeLand Memorial Hospital and Veterans Museum, focusing on medical history and African American culture.
