• At Greenhorn we love anything GREEN, which is why we decided a few years ago to do as much as we can to preserve and help sustain our beautiful surroundings and to maintain a healthy living environment for ourselves and our partners, the horses.
• We've established several new methods of operation that have helped us save energy, water, time and money..
• Starting with the lodge and the cabins we've integrated energy efficient lighting in all the rooms, cabins and office fixtures and lamps. But that's just the beginning, We have a fully functional and excellent thriving worm farm where we use our food scraps to feed the worms which we use for both our fishing stock and our garden stock. We cultivate the worm farm to harvest the castings which we use to fertilize our very own VICTORY GARDEN.
• Sitting on about an acre of land, we have a community garden that we plan in the early spring and by the end of our summer season, much of the produce we use in our daily meals for the guests comes from our very own garden including fresh vegetables, herbs and spices.
• We try to capture as much of the natural flowing and pooling water as we can which we use in turn in a grey water system to water our fields which help keep the horses feed reducing our need to pay for hay that would otherwise have to be trucked in. We are using more of the internet system for our correspondance, marketing and advertising to help reduce paper waste and are huge supporters of recycling, including all aluminum and the glass bottles from the saloon! There's always room for improvement though so we're constantly looking into more ways we can help ourselves save a little money and help the earth save a little life.

About Us

All inclusive family vacations include meals, 2 horse back rides a day, all activities, lodging and so much more! Our facility boasts it's 2 stocked fishing ponds, a heated swimming pool, full service saloon and dance hall, 3 hearty meals a day in our chuck house a variety of activities including line dancing, karaoke, a ride -in movie, frog races, guest rodeo events, horse drawn wagon rides to cookouts in the forest, bon-fire sing alongs etc.
We offer full services for your corporate/business retreats including meeting space, projector/ PA equipment WiFi service and more.
For special events we offer beautiful scenery, full service wedding coordination, unlimited space, and if we don't have it, we can sure get it for ya! Our weddings include the one of a kind "running of the horses" which is always a special treat for both the bride and groom and their guests. We do family reunions, birthday/anniversary parties and too much to list here. Come out for our full week package, or just stay for the day. Either way, we have a package to fit your budget!
