David is an attorney licenced to practice in the State of California, and before the Federal Courts, since 1974. David graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and Cum Laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1974. David practiced law in Monterey County from 1974 to 1995, focused primarily in complex Bankruptcy cases and then moved to Plumas County in 1995. David’s bankruptcy experience includes representation of debtors and creditors in Chapters 7, 9, 11, 12 and 13. David has represented hospital districts in Inyo, Humboldt, Sierra, Fresno and Plumas Counties and provided advice leading to confirmation of their Chapter 9 plans.
David’s local practice focuses on the legal needs of the residents of Plumas, Sierra, Placer and Nevada Counties, including estate planning, the preparation of wills and trusts; the formation of appropriate business entities, corporations, LLCs, or limited partnerships; real estate issues, including the sale or purchase of businesses, and criminal defense. David has provided legal advice and services to water companies, community service districts, hospital districts, and water districts. David has been the Plumas Superior Court Mediator in Small Claims and Unlawful Detainer matters, a Public Defender, and special Deputy District Attorney.
