The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority is the owner and operator of the Reno-Tahoe International and Reno-Stead Airports. It is governed by a nine member Board of Trustees, operates as a business, and receives no local tax dollars.

Some airline ticket counters open as early as 4:15 a.m. for passenger check-in. The Airport Authority recommends contacting your airline directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
When traveling to or from Reno-Tahoe International Airport, here are a few helpful tips to remember.
Hours of Operation - The airport is a public building that is open 24/7. However, the airline hours of operation vary by air carrier. Some airline ticket counters open as early as 4:15 a.m. for passenger check-in. The Airport Authority recommends contacting your airline directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has a permanent facility in the terminal where travelers may go to enroll in TSA Pre-Check. The Pre-Check site is across from the Delta Airlines ticket counter and is open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.
Arrive early, at least 90 minutes to 2 hours prior to flight departure time. Check with your airline for their recommended check-in time.
