Board Vacancy

We would love to have a few more folks to help us run the Lost Sierra Chamber of Commerce.

One of our board members resigned this summer and we now have only six on our team. Our bylaws state that the LSCC board shall consist of seven to nine members.

If you have a background in business, live here, and understand the value of a strong business community, consider becoming a LSCC board member. Stop by and see us. Let's talk.

You Spoke; We Listened!

Summer has been crazy busy, and we've sent out more than a few emails on behalf of our members this season! We apologize for spamming you.

We recently learned how to create and send a newsletter with multiple upcoming events, activities and messages in order to cut down on individual emails from the Chamber, so you can look forward to a more regular, condensed newsletter in the future!

Volunteers Needed

By Donna Mills

They say there is a special place in Heaven for volunteers. I'm not sure where I heard this, and I'm not sure where that place is, but I do know things on Earth would be a lot different were it not for volunteers.

The Lost Sierra Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center can ALWAYS use volunteers. We have only two part-time, seasonal employees who work their tails off to coordinate activities in and out of the offices. Besides managing the day-to-day office operations, they help plan and execute fundraisers, update, print and disseminate information, and help locals and visitors with various questions about the area. Sadly, our budget does not allow us to keep them full-time at this time.
