ILCC Opening S.E.R.T Building! Iowa Lakes Community College will be holding an open house and ribbon cutting on Thursday, August 28th for it's new Sustainable Energy Resources & Technologies (S.E.R.T) Facility! The building is located in the Estherville Industrial Park. The open house will run from 9:30am to noon and the ribbon cutting will be at 10:30am! Don't miss this new and exciting addition to Iowa Lakes Community College and Estherville! New Chamber Member! Most of you know that we recently purchased our 1st Ave S location! Most of you also know it needs a face lift!! TOMORROW, Tuesday, August 26th at 5pm (whenever you can get off of work change clothes and come to the Chamber) we will be doing a demo day!! We will be getting everything off the walls, ripping down the 1980's wall paper, moving some of the larger furniture away from the walls and painting the outside window wells!! Many hands make light work so we are asking for a few volunteers to help us! It should not take too much time as long as we have a good amount of volunteers!! Please let us know if you are able to attend so we can make sure to have enough beverages and snacks on hand! Thank You! Estherville Leadership Program! Registrations are currently being accepted for the Emmet County Leadership Program 2014! The program is designed to maximize the strengths and skills of current and future community leaders! It will include 5 weekly training sessions focusing on topics specific to leadership in community and business! The sessions will be held from 2-4:30pm on 5 consecutive Tuesdays beginning Sept. 30! Registration is $75 through Sept. 19 with a portion of that refundable if the particpant attends all 5 sessions!
