May Business After 5! Join us next week on Tuesday, May 9th for the May Business After 5! We will be hosted by the VFW and the Estherville Rotary from 5-7pm at the VFW! Business After 5's are a great way to network with your peers, enjoy delicious food and drinks and learn about what's going on in Estherville, with the Chamber and with the VFW and Rotary! Don't miss out on this fun event! All Chamber Members are encouraged to come and invited to bring along other co-workers, employees and friends! Last Week to Shop Hop! Reminder to turn in all receipts before 4:30pm today to be entered in to win $100 in Estherville Bucks! We will draw the winner today at 4:45pm! The box is full of receipts and names make sure you are one of them! Studio 12 Excel Building Open House Everyone is invited to check out the Studio 12 Open House on May 18th from 4-8pm and May 19th from 9-11am. Studio 12 is located on the second floor of the Excel Building, 12 S 6th Street, and is a space available to businesses and entrepreneurs. This new co-working space offers office space, a pod cast recording studio, conference room, ballroom, deck, kitchenette and more! Come to the open house to learn more about how this space can be used and what type of amenities and options it has for you or someone you know! There will be an opening presentation at 4pm on the 18th but the presentations, tours, information, refreshments and activities will continue throughout the entire open house! What's Happening? There is still time to enter the Defiance Trail Run 5k is the only run through Fort Defiance State Park's Trail system! Join us this Saturday, May 6th for this unique experience! Conquer the obstacles, challenge the trails and have tons of fun! Register now!!! New this year is team registration - save $10 per person when you register 4 or more people at one time! We are also looking for volunteers to help with the event. We need volunteers to help direct runners on the path and cheer them on! Opening of Brey's on Seventh This Thursday from 1-8pm new retail store Brey's on Seventh will be open for the first time! Head down to 18 N 7th Street to check out all this new store has to offer! We are doing a new promotion for Estherville this year. The Estherville Visitors Pass is a handout of coupons, discounts and deals given to visitors. All Chamber Members are welcome to post a discount/deal if they would like to bring more visitors into their business. Participation is free to Chamber Members. These will be given out at the hotels, Chamber Welcome Center and to specific events that bring in visitors from outside the community! Example of similar Visitor Pass done in Luverne MN We are looking for items for the Estherville Welcome Bags! Everyone who registers utilities for the first time in Estherville receives a welcome bag made by the Chamber. We are looking for promotional items to put in these bags! They can be informational materials, coupons or freebies. We need around 150-200 if possible. Please drop them off at the Chamber Office if you would like to include something! Ambassador Visits If you have something you would like to share with the community call the Estherville Ambassadors for a visit! New locations or remodels, new employees, major anniversaries call us and we can schedule an Ambassador visit! Don't miss this chance for free publicity!
