Pool Bond Vote Today!

Today is the day to vote in the Special Election for the Estherville Pool Bond. Voting takes place at the Estherville Farm Bureau Building from 7am to 8pm this evening. Make sure you get out and vote.
Estherville Parks and Recreation has released images and information relating to the upcoming special election for the Estherville Municipal Swimming Pool Project. Please see the attached Frequently Asked Questions Sheet and pool drawing below. The City has had two evaluations of the municipal pool conducted by separate professional engineering firms, the first one in 2010 by Larkin Aquatics and the second one in 2016 by Burbach Aquatics. The report stated “The existing infrastructure (pool basin and piping) are at the end of their useful life. No investment in new features should be made relying on this old work.” Burbach Aquatics reached the same conclusion. Both reports are available on the City’s website at www.cityofestherville.org and at the Estherville Public Library.
It is important to be an informed voter and know the facts. Take the time to research the project through trust-worthy sources while making your decision.

Thank You!

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone that volunteered for and sponsored Sweet Corn Days this year! It was another successful and fun year! We could not have done it without all of you! Thank you to the Sweet Corn Days Committee: Nancy Anderson, Jason Bendixon, Dale Breuer, Dave Carrico, Penny Clayton, Don Edwards, Laurel Hash and Travis Sheridan these guys worked tirelessly through the weekend and in the months beforehand planning. Thank You to Jacobson Westergard and all those that came out to shuck, cook and serve the corn! We can't wait to start planning Sweet Corn Days 2020!
