Emmet County COVID-19 Disaster Response Grants

The Emmet County COVID-19 Disaster Response Fund provides grant support to organizations assisting in the response and recovery efforts of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The intent of the fund is to be responsive to nonprofits serving Emmet County that are providing basic needs services and organizations working with individuals and families who have been disproportionately impacted by the public health and economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

Invalid Bucks

Recently an Estherville retailer received out of date and invalid Northstar Bucks and Estherville Bucks. The pictures below are of formerly used Estherville and Northstar Bucks. These Bucks have been discontinued for more than 10 years and should not be accepted as payment. Current Estherville Bucks are a printed check and will be dated.

Downtown Market

The 2020 Downtown Market Season will begin on Thursday, June 4th. We are currently accepting vendor registrations. At this time we are limited to food vendors only per the Governors orders. We will monitor the situation and if things change we will notify our regular non-food vendors. We will also put in place other precautions to keep market shoppers and vendors safe. Find the vendor application form here.

Summer Events

A quick update on the Chamber's Annual Summer Events.
At this time no decisions have been made to cancel any of our summer events. We are closely monitoring the situation and listening for guidance from the Governor. Once we are able to make a decision we will make announcements to the public! Thank you for your patience and understanding!

EIDL

U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Jovita Carranza announced today that agricultural businesses are now eligible for SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and EIDL Advance programs. SBA’s EIDL portal will reopen today as a result of funding authorized by Congress through the Paycheck Protection Program and Healthcare Enhancement Act. The legislation, signed into law by the President one week ago, provided additional funding for farmers and ranchers and certain other agricultural businesses affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

See the attached press release for additional information.
