IEDA Survey

Iowa Economic Development Authority is asking for responses to a COVID-19 assessment survey. The purpose of this survey is to better understand the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) on Iowa businesses and organizations. They estimate the survey will take about 8-14 minutes to complete.Businesses or organizations with multiple Iowa locations or branches can complete one survey per locationSurvey deadline is Friday, May 29th at 5 pm.

Emmet County COVID-19 Disaster Response Grants

The Emmet County COVID-19 Disaster Response Fund provides grant support to organizations assisting in the response and recovery efforts of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The intent of the fund is to be responsive to nonprofits serving Emmet County that are providing basic needs services and organizations working with individuals and families who have been disproportionately impacted by the public health and economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Estherville Public Library has many options available for our community at this time! Consider Library curbside to go - reserve books and materials online and pull up to have them delivered to your vehicle! You can also check out books online through the Library!! So many options to help you stay entertained through the epidemic!

Facebook Group

Please follow and use the "Estherville Information - Covid 19 Business Changes" Facebook Group to announce any business changes during the pandemic. Please use this group to notify the public of any information you think is pertinent about your business. Also restaurants and retail establishments are encouraged to post how customers can still shop with them! Together we will get through this!! Stay strong and please let us know if there is anything we can do for you!

Invalid Bucks

Recently an Estherville retailer received out of date and invalid Northstar Bucks and Estherville Bucks. The pictures below are of formerly used Estherville and Northstar Bucks. These Bucks have been discontinued for more than 10 years and should not be accepted as payment. Current Estherville Bucks are a printed check and will be dated. 
   

Downtown Market

The 2020 Downtown Market Season will begin on Thursday, June 4th. We are currently accepting vendor registrations. At this time we are limited to food vendors only per the Governors orders. We will monitor the situation and if things change we will notify our regular non-food vendors. We will also put in place other precautions to keep market shoppers and vendors safe. It is very important that you fill out the 2020 Census! Estherville needs everyone to take a few minutes and be counted!! Please go to https://2020census.gov/ and fill it out now! It only takes a couple of minutes and can make a major impact on infastructure and services for our area!!

At this time no decisions have been made to cancel any of our summer events. We are closely monitoring the situation and listening for guidance from the Governor. Once we are able to make a decision we will make announcements to the public! Thank you for your patience and understanding!
