Ambassador Events

The Estherville Ambassadors have decided to cancel their Annual Golf Outing and the Annual Law Enforcement and Emergency Personnel Appreciation Dinner for 2020 due to COVID! The Ambassadors look forward to hosting these events again in 2021! Ribbon cuttings and visits are still available by calling 712-362-3541 with safety precautions put in place.

Please follow and use the "Estherville Information - Covid 19 Business Changes" Facebook Group to announce any business changes during the pandemic. Please use this group to notify the public of any information you think is pertinent about your business. Also restaurants and retail establishments are encouraged to post how customers can still shop with them! Together we will get through this!! Stay strong and please let us know if there is anything we can do for you!

Avera - Diabetes Prevention Program

The next session for the Avera Holy Family Hospital Diabetes Prevention Program is starting soon!!
• Classes begin on August 26th. The class is once a week for 16 weeks, followed by 6 monthly classes.
• 3 pm on Wednesdays, 30 minutes.
• There is a virtual participation option, which means you can use your computer and not attend in person.
• The class is FREE!!!
• RWC walking passes provided to those participants with regular attendance and who attain their goals.

Senator Grassley Visits Estherville

Join us on Tuesday, August 25th for a townhall meeting
with Senator Grassley
from 11:15am to 12:15pm 
at the VFW Hall in Estherville. 
Social distancing is encouraged. 

2020 Census

 Help Us Boost Iowa's Census   Participation 

 I cannot stress enough how important census   participation is to the future of our state. We need all   942 cities and 99 counties to compete. For every   Iowan who is not counted, the state stands to lose   $17,000 over the next ten years.

 The census impacts 8.7 billion dollars in federal funding for Iowa, to help with roads, housing, education, agriculture, health care and more. We need your help. Encourage friends, family, neighbors and coworkers to take a few minutes and complete the Census at

The Food Bank of Iowa will be in Estherville on
Thursday, September 3 from 4-6 pm
at Crossroads Church in Estherville

At the August Food Bank, 525 people (213 families) received 8,976 lbs. of food. 
 Iowa Mobile Food Bank Distributions from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 distributed total of 19,063,392 pounds of food in Iowa! 

Downtown Market Thursday

Produce has officially arrived at the Downtown Market!! Don't miss out on great locally grown fruits and vegetables plus home baked goodies and more! The 2020 Downtown Market Season continues this Thursday in Library Square from 4:30pm to 6:30pm! 
We are currently accepting all vendor registrations.  We have put in place precautions to keep market shoppers and vendors safe.
