About Shawangunk Garden Club
We are a nonprofit club that is interested in taking care of the beauty of our community. We hold meetings that include speakers who inform us about all types of gardening and beautification. We do a Mothers Day plant sale and sell plants at the Blueberry Festival. We earn money from the sales so that we can plant the flower pots along the Village streets, take care, and plant in the Boy with a Boot area in the center of town. We take care of the large planters on Market Street between Canal and Center Streets.
The Garden Club is open to new members at all times. We usually meet on the first Monday of the month at the Community Room of the Ellenville Public Library.
We collect food goods to be distributed to local groups at our meetings. We also collect donations at each meeting that is sent at the end of the year to a group that helps an American Indian that is in need of water.
