A Note from Executive Director Kimberley Pitillo

Hello fellow chamber members,

As I write this note to you all, I hope this finds you all safe and healthy at this time. As we all know we have had some obstacles come our way this month with the COVID-19 pandemic and we are all trying to stay afloat and keep life as we all know it. Our chamber office has been closed during this time and I have been working remotely from home and checking in at the office weekly. 
I wanted to give you a little update as to what will be happening in the month of April.
Our April Mixer has been - Postponed
Our April Luncheon  has been - Canceled
All our upcoming committee meetings will be held by Zoom virtual meetings for the next month.  Please take an hour out of your day on Tuesday March 31st at 5:30pm for our Powerful Connections virtual meeting lead by Ambassador Dot Boyd. Are you looking for that great connection within the chamber? this is your opportunity to get connected with other members. For Members only! This week we had 22 members and we are hoping to have more next week. Look for the email soon with details of how to log on to the video call.

We are currently waiting until April 12^th to decide if we will go forward with the Fair Oaks Fiesta event and our other events to follow. I am in high hopes that this event will happen. I know people want to get back to normal life and back out in the community and this event will help jump start our businesses in Fair Oaks.  Of course there is a lot of turning parts to making this event happen and as most of you know all our events are ran by volunteers. To pull off this event we will need all hands on deck. I hope that all stars align so that it can still take place on Sunday May 3rd, if not we will look into postponing to another date in the near future. I will keep you posted on that. 

During this time it has given me a chance to catch up on work and family related agenda items which has actually been a blessing. Cleaning out emails, working on the database and the website, plus planning our future events has kept me busy plus not to mention I think I have organized every closet in my household and have deep cleaned my home that hopefully no virus or sickness wants to come into our house, lol. But truly I think this is something we all needed. The time to reflect,relax and reset our busy lives. I know when we all get back to the new normal life we will all come back better and stronger.

Take this time to update your free landing page on our website, you will be surprised at how much more exposure you will get with your membership. All you need is to log in to the chamber website and start updating your FREE page. You can also send out coupons to members to drive business to you., you can do member referrals and link up social media. You will also get a monthly report of your membership stats but only if you create your page. It really is mind blowing, well at least to me all what our ChamberNation program has to offer our chamber and our members. We plan to have a virtual meeting soon to show you just how to use the program. You may noticed some new changes to our website and more changes will be coming shortly that I think you are really going to love. 

Lastly, if you are still OPEN during this time just quickly send me an email so that I can list your business on the front page of our website. I won't be able to list all your details but I can at least list your business.
