About Us

Many years ago when she was just a child, Catherine enjoyed her grandmother’s baked delights and would dream about making them herself when she was a ‘big girl’. When her grandmother passed, she gave all of her cake molds to Catherine, who stored them away vowing to display them in her own bakery some day. Today you can see those very items hanging on the walls at Slice of Heaven - her dream has become reality.

After completing her schooling and working in the bakery business for years, Catherine began her own cake decorating and design business named Catherine’s Confections. Primarily an internet and word-of-mouth based business, the requests for unique cakes and goodies kept her busy while keeping her ‘day job’ and caring for her children.

When the business grew into the full-line bakery storefront you see today, naming it was a quick decision. Catherine’s Confections’ motto has always been “ ...where slices of heaven are created.” So now we are actually in the building where you can find a “Slice of Heaven ”.

Slice of Heaven prides itself on accepting special and unique orders to suit each customer’s desires. Whether it’s a sheet cake, 3D cake or a 4-tier masterpiece for a special occasion or just your turn to bring in a dozen or two donuts on ’Casual Friday’, Slice of Heaven will take your order and make your day a little brighter by adding their special touch to your special day.
