San Mateo-Foster City Education Foundation
Established in 1989, the San Mateo-Foster City Education Foundation has been a stalwart advocate for educational equity within the San Mateo-Foster City School District. Triggered by the ramifications of Proposition 13, which led to diminished state funding and subsequent disparities in opportunity, our foundation emerged to address these challenges head-on. With a steadfast commitment to bridging the gap in educational resources, we have tirelessly pursued our mission of ensuring that all schools within our district thrive, firmly believing that well-funded educational institutions provide vital pathways to success for students.
Driven by a dual focus on community engagement and strategic partnerships, our foundation has successfully channeled over $7.2 million into the School District to support a wide array of district-wide programs. Through collaborative efforts with families, local businesses, corporations, and other stakeholders, we have forged enduring alliances that transcend traditional barriers, enabling us to fund initiatives in music, art, literacy, STEM education, and beyond.
