April Showers Bring May NSF Dollars!
Dear Chamber Leadership and Business Professionals:
The Los Angeles District Attorney Bad Check Restitution Program just revised the filing Complaint Form. Question in Step 4 was changed to better determine if the victim or anyone from the victim’s place of business can identify the check writer. This is in order to help us move more cases forward to prosecution should the check writer chose not to comply.
I have attached a new Complaint Form for your convenience or if you prefer, you can download the form at da.lacounty.gov/badcheck.htm. We ask that you please recycle old forms and begin using the new Complaint Form as soon as possible. We appreciate your willingness to pass this along to anyone who can benefit from our no-cost solution to recovering on bad check losses.
We value your continued support of the Program and welcome any feedback you would like to provide us in an effort to better serve you and all the victims of bad checks. For more information please contact the Victim Hotline at 1-800-842-0733.
Sincerely,
