This pricing offer will remain in effect until January 31, 2011 so contact the Chamber today, as space is limited, and you must be a member of the Chamber to receive this offer. MAKE 2011 A YEAR OF SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE

SCF Arizona your Work Comp Specialist

Provided by Tod Dennis
Association Coordinator

The start of each New Year is like a new beginning. It gives business owners a chance to reflect on how they function and ways to improve.
At SCF Arizona, the state’s largest provider of workers’ compensation insurance, we know that safe businesses save money, so as 2011 begins we offer some resolutions for you to consider to either make your workplaces safer for your employees and to control your workers’ compensation costs.

1. Resolve to choose a healthcare provider from SCF Arizona’s Preferred Connection Network. I will let all my employees know who the provider is and where it is located, so if any worker is injured on the job, he or she will know where to get treatment. Providers in SCF’s PCN are experienced at workplace injuries and agree to pricing that often is less than the Industrial Commission’s Medical Fee Schedule.
2. Resolve to keep my workers trained on how to lift properly and to review lifting techniques continuously. Back strains caused by improper lifting and carrying of items are one of the most often reported workplace injuries.
3. Resolve to watch for hazards that could result in a slip or trip, and eliminate them. This includes wet or slippery floors, obstacles on the floor or in hallways, loose wires, open drawers, poorly maintained carpets or rugs, working on uneven surfaces and general clutter.
