Annual Awards Luncheon Scheduled CHAMBER ANNUAL LUNCHEON AND MAYORS STATE OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY - Save the date - February 23...for the Chamber's 59th Annual Business Appreciation Luncheon and Mayor's State of the Business Community Address! Join us as Mayor Elaine Scruggs highlights Glendale's 2009 economic development accomplishments and gives a preview of what's in store for 2010. Key Chamber volunteers and businesses will be recognized for their contributions to the business community and 2010 Chamber officers and directors introduced. The event is open to all Chamber members and the general public and will be held from 11:30-1:30pm at the Glendale Civic Center. Reservations are $60 per person or save by buying a corporate table of 8 for $450. To find out more specific information regarding these activities visit Huntington online at http://glendale.huntingtonlearning.com GLENDALE GLITTER & GLOW BLOCK PARTY, JANUARY 16TH Glendale Glitters ends with a bang during the spectacular finale on Saturday, January 16 from 4pm to 10pm in Historic Downtown Glendale. The Glendale Glitter & Glow Block Party is fun for the whole family and admission and parking are free. More than 75,000 people will enjoy arts, crafts, food booths, bands and street performers plus the tethered balloons all under the 1.5 million holiday lights. Event attendees are encouraged to use the free shuttle to downtown Glendale from Glendale Community College at 59th Ave. and Olive. The shuttle will run from the north lot off of 59th Avenue from 3:30pm to 10:30pm. Our "First Friday Networking Breakfast" will be held January 8 from 7:30-9am at Bitzee Mama's in downtown Glendale. Our program topic is "Changes in the Banking Industry for 2010", presented by Joanne Gallagher of Mid First Bank. No RSVP necessary and the cost is $5 per person for the breakfast buffet.
