CHAMBER EYES MOVE TO CIVIC CENTER LOCATION

After being in the same location since 1986, the Glendale Chamber is working toward a move to a new location in the Glendale Civic Center Annex.  The Chamber is in the process of selling its office building, located at 7105 North 59th Ave.  Once the sale is completed, the Chamber would lease office space in the Annex from the City of Glendale, located at 5150 West Glenn Drive, just two blocks east of the current location.

The new location would offer the Chamber up to date office space, in a higher pedestrian traffic count area, and save several thousands of dollars annually in overhead costs.  The Chamber would also be able to better market the Civic Center as well as the Convention and Visitors Bureau from that location, plus promoting Chamber member businesses to the more than 60,000 visitors annually to the Civic Center for meetings and events.

The sale of the Chamber building is expected to be completed by mid-April, with a move to the new location in late May or June.

TRAINING NEW WORKERS
