Waterama Week is here.  The first Medallion Clue is out and the hunt is on!

WCCO Television is "Goin to the Lake" and their destination this week is GLENWOOD.

WCCO Radio is also coming to Glenwood and will be on the air live from Lakeside on Friday afternoon.

These are only a few things happening during Waterama.  You can find the printed Waterama schedules at the Glenwood Chamber & Welcome Center and at most of the Glenwood businesses. You will find events and activities for the whole family to enjoy!

Waterama Downtown Crazy days are scheduled for Thursday and Friday and the City Park Boardwalk Sales will be at City Park (across from Lakeside)  Saturday and Sunday.  If you're thinking of being a vendor for this event, please register today. Deadline to register is 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27th.

Don't forget Rise and Shine this Friday, July 29th, 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber & Welcome Center. Host is the Glenwood Rotary Club.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber & Welcome Center will be closed on Monday, August 1st, we will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, August 2nd.

The Medallion Hunt started this morning with the first clue announced at 9:00 a.m. on our local radio station KMGK Smooth 107 FM Radio.  Once the clue is given on the radio the clue is also send out to Chamber Members,  put on our website and Facebook.  Also each day the clues will be placed on the front door the the Glenwood Lakes Chamber & Welcome Center for anyone to stop by and pick up.

Festivals and summer gatherings are so much fun, but during these celebrations it is important to remember that youth look to adults to set examples and establish guidelines.  In fact 8 out of 10 Minnewaska teens agree that parents and other adults should talk with them about the importance of not using alcohol at their age.  Our youth are watching.  Please be responsible.

The Community is invited to Bremness Gallery at 226 East Minnesota Avenue, Glenwood on the grounds of the historic Ann Bickle Heritage House during the month of July.  The show features the artwork of Orlando Haugland and David Lent from Glenwood and Steven Lewis Larson from Starbuck. 

The Bremness Gallery is open 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, Friday and Saturday,  through July 30th.
