We are well into August and students and families are gearing up for another school year. Sports teams will be starting soon, families are taking time to go shopping for supplies and new school clothes. It's an exciting time preparing for a new school year.
For some families, its a hardship to purchase school supplies so the United Way of
Douglas and Pope Counties have an event going on right now calle
d Stuff the Bus.
This is a way to help local students start the school year strong with your donation of new school supplies! Supplies needed are:
- Backpacks
- Spiral Notebooks
- Crayons - 24 Pack
- Colored Pencils
- Pocket Folders
- Composition Notebooks
- Washable Markers
- Pens (red, black, blue)
- Glue Sticks
- Loose Leaf Paper
