"I Can't believe summer is almost over"! We've all been hearing that this week, as Labor Day is just around the corner, with school open houses scheduled for today and tomorrow and school faculty back to work.
Monday, Labor Day is the 150th Founding of Glenwood Birthday Bash at Barsness Park.
from 1:00-4:30 p.m. Starting at 1:00-2:45 p.m. there will be games and prizes, at 3:00 p.m. the concert featuring Cimarron will begin. During the concert free cupcakes, lemonade and coffee will be served (while supplies last).

The Glenwood Chamber & Welcome Center will be closed on Monday, September 5th in observance of Labor Day. We would like to wish everyone a fun and safe Labor Day Weekend.

Glenwood Commercial Grant Opportunities
The City of Glenwood is seeking grant funds from the Minnesota Department of Employment & Economic Development's (DEED's) Small Cities Development Program (SCDP) for downtown property owners in the target area featured below who are interested in improving their commercial buildings.
As part of the application process for these funds, the City must provide a list of interested property owners and examples of projects in Glenwood which need funding.
It is important that you complete the attached Letter of Interest Form if you would like funding from this grant to fix up your property! If you own multiple buildings downtown, please complete and submit separate forms for each building!

Tournament of Champions - Glenwood & Beyond has changed the format of their event this year and we are now hosting their Tournament of Champions. The event is Sunday September 18th with tee times running from 8-2:00. The event is designed to bring in the best players from the area to participate in a 2 of 4 scratch event.
