CHAMBER MEMBERS - WELCOME PROGRAM ITEMS NEEDED!
Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber Members, Agencies, Organizations - we are in need of items for our Welcome Program gift bags and folders.
We have been busy visiting with new members in the community, and are running low on gifts and informational brochures.
We will be putting together another 25 gift bags and folder around the end of this month. We anticipate several visits in September and October.
We have also been seeing more people stopping for information. As a chamber member, we can display your business cards and brochures. We need 25 item and/or 25 brochures for our welcome program and we could use 15-20 brochures to display.
If you've not seen our remodeled lobby, stop by and check it out.
Thank you to all who have been participating in this program. It has been very successful, because of your continued support. At this time, we have visited with 84 individuals or families.

Fall is in the air! Everyone is busy with school, church and community events.
Many annual events are happening during the month of September. We are also starting the church dinner and supper season.
As always check out our Calendar of Events.
Just a reminder, if you know of any new community members, please let them know about our Welcome Glenwood Program. It requires only 20-30 minutes of their time. We can meet at the Glenwood Chamber & Welcome Center, their home or place of business. We have a folder of information and gift bag from participating chamber members that is given out at each visit.
Join us at Canary Beach Resort,Villard on Friday, September 23 from 7:30-8:30 a.m. for Rise and Shine. It's a great time to learn about area businesses and meet new people.
A light breakfast is provided and you have a chance to win a door prize. All chamber members have a chance to win the JACKPOT, which has been growing since our first Rise and Shine over a year and a half ago.

Glenwood Commercial Grant Opportunities
The City of Glenwood is seeking grant funds from the Minnesota Department of Employment & Economic Development's (DEED's) Small Cities Development Program (SCDP) for downtown property owners in the target area featured below who are interested in improving their commercial buildings.
As part of the application process for these funds, the City must provide a list of interested property owners and examples of projects in Glenwood which need funding.
It is important that you complete the attached Letter of Interest Form if you would like funding from this grant to fix up your property! If you own multiple buildings downtown, please complete and submit separate forms for each building!

Thank you to Kadejan Market for hosting this last Rise & Shine event. Ridgewood Villa was drawn in the Member Jackpot Drawing, but since no one was present at Rise & Shine to claim the jackpot drawing, the jackpot continues to grow! Glenn Miller was drawn in the business card drawing and claimed the Kadejan door prize at Rise & Shine!
Glenwood Public Library to Host author Chad Lewis
Chad Lewis, a paranormal research and author for Unexplained Research, and co-author of the Road Guide to Haunted Locations book series. Will do a presentation at the Glenwood Public Library on Saturday, September 17th at 10:00 a.m. This event is free and sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
