The "Welcome Glenwood" program, a revitalization of the Ambassador program that the chamber discontinued in the late 90's, was restarted in 2013. In 2015 the Chamber turned the program over to the Welcome Center. Chamber and Welcome Center Staff and volunteers have been welcoming new residents and new businesses ever since.

Last week, we celebrated our 100th visit, welcoming a new Glenwood family to the community.
New residents can be anyone who has moved to the area in the past five years. lf anyone new to Pope County would like a visit, we are happy to do so. Besides our Glenwood visits we have visited families that have moved to Lowry, Starbuck, Villard and Terrace. Visits can range from 15 minutes to an hour and a half, its up to the visitor.
The next 25 gift bags ready to go!
At each visit we give out an informational packet and gift bag from our participating Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber members. Without your continued support, this program would not be possible.
A special thank you to our volunteers: Theresa Roberg, Lloyd Campbell, Amy Roers, Stacey Pederson, Shelley Svec and Jeannie Pederson, who has helped make this program successful!
To set up a visit, call the Glenwood Welcome Center at 320-634-3636, or email info@WelcomeGlenwood.org. Several area business have Welcome Glenwood cards to handout to new residents too.
