Red Cross Blood Drive - March 7th
Red Cross Community Blood Drive on Tuesday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Glenwood American Legion Post 187 in Glenwood (186 Highway 55). Walk-ins are welcome.

March is Red Cross Month, celebrate by giving blood in March.
Today The American Red Cross will hold a Community Blood Drive from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Glenwood American Legion Post 187.
Also today Someplace Safe will be holding Day of Action - "It Happens Here" at the Pope County Courthouse at NOON. This is a gathering to end domestic violence. Everyone is welcome.

March 7, 2017 - A Statewide Day to End Domestic Violence
Someplace Safe will be holding Day Of Action - "It Happens Here" at the Pope County Courthouse on Tuesday, March 7th at noon. This is a gathering to end domestic violence & everyone is welcome.
We will be joined by survivors and community leaders to draw support for domestic violence services and ask elected officials to make ending violence a priority. Help us send a message that solutions to end violence happen locally with the investment of each member of the community!
We will gather out front of the courthouse (weather permitting). If weather is bad, we will be in the community room in the courthouse. Enter by the Law Enforcement doors on the side of the courthouse by the church.

The Pope County Community Expo is set for Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Minnewaska Area High School. Registration for exhibitors is filling up fast so register today!
Remember, Chamber members of the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber are entitled to a 50% discount on their Expo booth rental (enter the Discount Code Member on the bottom of the first page of registration to trigger the discount on your invoice). This year, we have automated the registration system and you choose your booth location(s) during the registration process as well as have the capability to upload your logo for others to see!
This is a great way for businesses, agencies, organizations and community clubs to let Pope County residents and our neighboring communities what Pope County has to offer. We have over 150 exhibitors that attend this event, a excellent food court, entertainment for all ages. Free Rainbow Rider buses that stop at designated pickup spots every half hour from Glenwood, Starbuck and a Rainbow rider on the grounds at the high school that will stop and bring attendees of the event to the front doors.

Spaghetti Dinner at Central Square, March 18th
Central Square Concert Series begins Saturday, March 18, 2017. Central Square presents “Close to You” the music of the Carpenters at 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $25 in advance, $30 at the door, children 12 free with paid adult. For tickets: call 320-634-0400 or visit www.centralsquare.org.
Come and enjoy a spaghetti dinner backstage and experience the bustle of pre-show activity with Lisa Rock: Close to You on Saturday, March 18. All contributions go to the Glenwood VFW’s Scholarship Fund. Only 100 tickets for the meal are available at a price of $10 each. Reservations are required, 320-634-0400. Serving will be from 5:00-6:30 p.m. with a cash beer and wine bar available.
