The Pope County Community Expo is fast approaching! We are excited to have KOOL-TV broadcasting Greater MN Now Weekend edition live from the Pope County Community Expo Saturday morning starting at 9:00 a.m.
Don't miss your chance to be part of the action of watching the production live, as well as having the chance to showcase your business, organization, agency, clubs, in future commercials or videos that they will be producing for us with footage taken that day!
We still have some booths available, deadline to sign up to have your name in the Pope County Tribune newspaper Insert, which is also available the day of the Expo is Wednesday, March 29th at the end of the day. If we still have booths available we can take registrations until April 5th.
This is a great opportunity for new and home based businesses, organizations, clubs, etc. to introduce themselves to the community. We have a full day planned, so register and be a part of the Pope County Community Expo. Glenwood Chamber members received 50% off the cost of the booth as part of their membership benefits. You can join the chamber now and receive the discount!
If you're thinking about attending the Expo, but are concerned about the parking. No worries, we provide " Park and Ride" opportunities FREE to anyone who wants to attend the EXPO. We have a transit bus for Starbuck that will pick up at the Starbuck Community Center parking lot, and at the Minnewaska House parking lot, starting at 9:00 a.m. and will be going back and forth throughout the day. In Glenwood people can catch the bus at the East end of the Shopko parking lot and at the parking lot behind American Solutions For Business on South Franklin street, also starting at 9:00 a.m. They will drop you off and pick you up at the front entrance of Minnewaska Area High School.
We also have a Rainbow Rider bus on the grounds throughout the day to help people who need a lift to the front door, just give a wave to the driver if you would like to catch a ride.
If at all possible, plan to car pool to the event!!

2017 Pope County Community Expo STILL TIME TO REGISTER
The Pope County Community Expo is set for Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Minnewaska Area High School. Registration for exhibitors is filling up fast so register today!
Remember, Chamber members of the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber are entitled to a 50% discount on their Expo booth rental (enter the Discount Code Member on the bottom of the first page of registration to trigger the discount on your invoice). This year, we have automated the registration system and you choose your booth location(s) during the registration process as well as have the capability to upload your logo for others to see!
This is a great way for businesses, agencies, organizations and community clubs to let Pope County residents and our neighboring communities what Pope County has to offer. We have over 150 exhibitors that attend this event, a excellent food court, entertainment for all ages. Free Rainbow Rider buses that stop at designated pickup spots every half hour from Glenwood, Starbuck and a Rainbow rider on the grounds at the high school that will stop and bring attendees of the event to the front doors. Thank you to A & W for hosting the March Rise and Shine on Friday, March 24th. It was a great morning, meeting the staff and new manager of A & W as well as other new community members and businesses.
Alice Douvier from A & W drew the lucky Jack Pot winner, American Solutions for Business. Stephanie Hall from American was present to accept the prizes. A & W also provided two door prizes for the business card drawing. The door prizes winners were Stephanie Hall and Julie Masteller from the Glenwood American Legion Post.

Each year, the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber Annual Meeting will introduce our Chamber Board of Directors & retiring board members, showcase our 'Year in Review', and also honor community members with our Community Awards portion of the program.
This year, our 'Year in Review' will include some of these highlights:
