We want to wish everyone a Happy Easter and a fun and safe weekend.
The Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber and Welcome Center will be closed Friday, April 14 and Monday April 17th, in observance of the Easter Holiday. We will resume our regular business hours on Tuesday, April 18th.
Thank you to all businesses, home-based businesses, agencies, organizations, non-profits and clubs that participated in the 7th Annual Pope County Community Expo this past weekend. Thank you to our sponsors,our host facility, Minnewaska Area Schools, the presenters and volunteers.

Each year, the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber Annual Meeting will introduce our Chamber Board of Directors & retiring board members, showcase our 'Year in Review', and also honor community members with our Community Awards portion of the program.
This year, our 'Year in Review' will include some of these highlights:
- Introduction of the Chamber Welcome Center, Board & Staff Members, and what this organization will focus their efforts on
- Preview our new Chamber website •Introduce our new members since the last annual meeting
- New initiatives that the Chamber has launched and/or will launch in the coming months
- Plus more!
This year's retiring Chamber Board members being recognized include:

Ring of Kerry is a bursting-with-energy Irish music group that captures the hearts of listeners. The group takes its name from a beautiful craggy drive in southwestern County Kerry, Ireland. Its Celtic music, however, is played with a heart much closer to its American home.
All five of its engaging musicians sing and play several instruments. From the thundering sound of the bodhran to the sparkle of the hammered dulcimer; from the lilt and rhythm of fiddle and guitar to the haunting wails of the flute and pennywhistles, the band has developed a blend that is animated, ruggedly beautiful and fun. A troupe of Celtic dancers is schedule to perform with this group of amazing instruments. Audiences always react with great enthusiasm to Ring of Kerry!

Balloons will not be delivered to residential locations but are available for pick up at the United Way office (503 Hawthorne Street or our pop-up location at the Glenwood Chamber of Commerce 7 Fist Street NW) on Tuesday, May 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Delivery and pick-up orders both require registration. Registration will be closed on Wednesday, May 3rd.

Mobile Food Drop - Pope County
POPE COUNTY MOBILE FOOD DROP
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Pope County Mobile Food Drop is a monthly food distribution event coordinated by United Way of Douglas & Pope Counties
Attendees at the Food Drop register, then go through a line where they are able to receive an assortment of food, free of charge.
