Pope County Residents should register for codeRED Weather Warning
Residents should register for CodeRed Weather Warning, an automatic severe weather notification service.
Unlike the community notification, citizens must register to receive these warnings by going to www.co.pope.mn.us, then click on the CodeRED logo on the right side of the home page and enter your contact information, according to the Pope County Sheriff's office.
When signing up residents have a choice on which types of warnings they would like to receive. This will also update the Community Notification System with current contact details. There is no charge for this service.
Glenwood Library Accepting Used Books for Waterama Sale
The Glenwood Public Library is accepting used books for their annual Waterama Used Book Sale. Please make sure they are in fair to good condition. Do not leave magazines, textbooks or encyclopedias. Proceeds from this sale go toward children's programs including the popular summer Reading Program.

We hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July!
The Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber & Welcome Center will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 and closed on Friday, July 7, 2017.
Just a reminder for teams to sign up for the Annual Chamber Cup Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held on Monday, August 21st.
The first annual Welcome Center, Glenwood Yard Olympics and Human Foosball Tournament Fundraiser will be held at the Pope County Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 26th. Online registration is open. You can find more information in this newsletter and on the Welcome Glenwood page on the chamber website.
Vendors interested in participating in the downtown crazy days and the city boardwalk sales should register by going to Chamber@GlenwoodLakesArea.org, go to the word more, drop down to the calendar, scroll down on the left side of that page and all event registrations are listed there. Information to vendors, regarding set up, location, etc. will be sent out to vendors the week of July 17th.

 The Pope County Farmers' Market, Glenwood season is open NOW through October, 2017 depending on weather and produce availability.
The Pope County Farmers Market, Glenwood is located at the Pope County Fairgrounds, Minnesota Avenue West or State Highway 28 W, Glenwood.
The Market is open on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

July 13th - Music in the Park Concert at Central Square
Music in the Park moves to Central Square on Thursday, July 13th at 7:00 p.m. for this "One World Concert".....
Songs of Hope™ is a six-week, overnight performing arts summer camp in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA for kids aged 10 and older from around the world. More than just a performing arts camp, Songs of Hope™ offers participants a unique opportunity to live in community with kids from other countries and cultures while learning and performing music from many countries.
Each summer, a select group of no more than 60 children and young adults venture to Minnesota from Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and the U.S. They arrive as strangers but soon find themselves embraced in a closely-knit, supportive community as they learn popular songs and dances from each other’s cultures. Then, they take these songs of peace, love, and respect into neighboring communities in a joyous celebration of cultural unity, delighting their audiences along the way.
The lessons learned during these six weeks are profound. The friendships are enduring. And the stories are inspirational. Taking part in the Songs of Hope™ camp is a transformational experience.
