Thank you to: the Pope County Fair Board for all their hard work and dedication in making the Pope County Fair a success. Thank you to: Chris Roering, Mike Claunch, Scott & Kim Joos, Kyle Chase and Stephanie Hall for working at the Chamber/Welcome Center Booth in the industrial building at the Pope County Fair. Your help was greatly appreciated! Unfortunately, we did not get the number of registrations we needed to have our August 26th event, the Glenwood Yard Olympics and Human Foosball Tournament. It was decided by the committee that we postponed this event until 2018. Watch for more information this spring! The Glenwood Lakes Area Welcome Center Fundraiser is still going on until Saturday, August 26th. The drawing for eight cash prizes will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Pope County Fairgrounds. You do not have to be present to win. You can pick up a raffle ticket for $10 from any chamber and welcome center board members or you can purchase one at our office. This fundraiser will help to support the Welcome Center community events, activities, etc. Just a reminder for teams to sign up for the Annual Chamber Cup Golf Tournament.
