Greetings!
The Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber & Welcome Center will be closed on Monday, October 9th in observance of Columbus Day. We will resume our regular hours on Tuesday, October 10th.
Needed..Sponsors and volunteers for the Indoor Community Trick or Treat.
The Indoor Community Trick or Treat has been going on for many years now at the Fright Nights Haunted House. It started when the haunted house was located at the fairgrounds and continued after it was relocated to Central Square at its current location. This provides families a safe, non-scary (lights on) option to walk through and receive candy from various businesses, clubs, agencies and organizations.
The haunted house will be open on Halloween Night, October 31st from 4:00-6:00 p.m. for the Indoor Community Trick or Treat. The regular haunted house will open its doors to those that wish to experience the haunted house starting at 7:00 p.m. Halloween night.
This event is not possible without sponsors who provide candy or a give away item, as well as volunteers willing to be at the haunted house for a couple of hours on Halloween.
We need your help to make this evening a success for families from our community and neighboring communities as well.
All you have to do is register on line to let us know that you will provide a treat and/or volunteer that evening. We acknowledge our sponsors at the event and in a thank you ad in the Pope County Tribune.
Please register today.
Just a reminder that registration is open for:
- Pope County Salute to Business & Industry
- Community Trick or Treat - sponsors and volunteers needed
- Battle of the Businesses Bowling Tournament
- Magical Christmas in Glenwood Celebration: Lighted Parade
- Magical Christmas in Glenwood Celebration: Christmas Bazaar
