Exhibitor Registration for 2018 Pope County Community Expo IS NOW OPEN
2018 Pope County Community Expo Exhibitor Registration is now open. Booths are limited on a first come first serve basis.
Volunteers Needed for the Living Nativity - Second Shift 5:30-7:00 p.m.
We are in need of some actors for the Living Nativity on Thursday, December 21st from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
We need two Angels, one King, three Shepherds, Joseph and Mary. Contact the Glenwood Chamber & Welcome Center at 320-634-3636 or email Kay at info@GlenwoodLakesArea.org.
All costumes are provided, just need to be in character at the outdoor manger, located on the vacant lot between Subway and GrandStay Hotel. All actors need to dress warmly, costumes will fit over outdoor wear.
Do you have dates for 2018 that you want to put on the Calendar of Events for the Minnewaska Visitor Guide?
All dates are due to Kay at the Glenwood Chamber and Welcome Center by Wednesday, December 13, 2018. Email any of your upcoming dates to info@WelcomeGlenwood.org.
All dates received will be submitted to the staff at Pope County Tribune/Starbuck Times and they make the final decision on which dates will be published.
Winter Parking Reminder
The City of Glenwood reminds residents and those parking on city streets to be mindful of snow events and make arrangements for off-street parking. Vehicles were not towed following the last snowfall, but moving forward vehicles that are parked on city streets during snow removal operations WILL BE TOWED. Please take note of this reminder for the upcoming winter months.

Congratulations to Ace Hardware of Glenwood on receiving the "Best Display of Holiday Spirit" traveling trophy at this year's Lighted Holiday Parade.
Thank you to our judge, Celeste Rapp, and to all parade participants; we had some great entries.
Thank you to to Central Square for hosting the Tree Lighting Ceremony and Family Movie Might.
Thank you to Glenwood Waterama Brass & Royalty, Pastor Kelly Mahoney, Randy Pederson, Mark Blauert and Mayor Formo for their parts in the Tree Lighting program and to the volunteers that helped with the trees, refreshments and movie.
Magical Christmas in Glenwood continues on Thursday evening, December 7th with the FREE Community Supper at the Glenwood Senior Center from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Menu: Pulled Pork Sandwich, Salad, Chips, Dessert, Milk, Coffee and Water. The meal will be catered by Hatchery Catering.
The Coloring Contest, officially starts at the Community Supper. We have three categories by age, so participants need to find their age bracket, complete the pictures and return to the Chamber/Welcome Center by Monday, December 18th. The winners will be announced on Thursday, December 21st at noon. Minnewaska Dollars are given to the top three contestants in each age bracket - 0-4, 5-8, 9-12.
Also families can enjoy a horse and wagon ride provided by Erickson's Zoo, and balloon twisting by Clueless the Elf.
Everyone is welcome! All activities are FREE!
