GROW GLENWOOD WEEKLY BROWN BAG LUNCH MEETINGS, Thursday, May 17, 2018
Road construction has begun!
Local area businesses/property owners and the general public is invited to attend a Glenwood Complete Streets project weekly updates. Project staff will be available to answer project-related questions.
Learn more about the project times lines, staging and detour plans.
The weekly updates will be provided during lunch hours, but these sessions are a "Bring Your Own Lunch" format if you wish. The updates will provide an opportunity for project staff to provide updates of what happened this week, what to expect next week, answer questions, etc.
Informational updates will also be available on the Grow Glenwood and MnDOT webpages for those that cannot attend. These meetings are provided as a method to keep everyone informed of what's happening and what to expect from start to finish during the project.
The weekly Grow Glenwood Brown Bag Lunch Meetings are Thursdays from 12:00-1:00 p.m., bring your own lunch and get the updates.

Each year, the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber & Welcome Center Annual Meeting will introduce our Board of Directors & retiring board members, showcase our 'Year in Review', and also honor community members with our Community Awards portion of the program.
This year, our 'Year in Review' will include some of these highlights:
- Introduction of the Chamber & Welcome Center Board & Staff Members, and what the organizations will focus their efforts on
- Preview our new initiatives
- Introduce our new members since the last annual meeting

Waterama City Park Boardwalk Sales Registration Now Open!

Due to the 2018 Complete Streets Project taking place this summer in Glenwood, we will NOT be holding the Downtown Crazy Days sales on Thursday and Friday during Waterama weekend as we have traditionally done in the past! Instead, we will hold all vendor sales at the City Park ONLY!!
In addition, due to the nature of the amount of work and lack of volunteers, this year we will NOT have the gators available for helping vendors haul products to their locations across the Park. We apologize for this inconvenience, but we are just not able to offer that service this year.
In addition, since the North side of the City Park is part of the official detour route, there are parking restrictions that may still be in place during Waterama. Weather permitting, that portion of the street project is planned to be completed and the parking restrictions lifted, but again, that's weather permitting!

Vendors can choose to set-up on Thursday at no additional cost if you wish to, but we need to know ahead of time if you wish to sell on Thursday also!
- Set-up Time: 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Friday morning
- Sales Time: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $60.00 for all three days! Chamber members can enter the discount code: Member (case sensitive) and receive a 50% discount on the weekend activities.

Chamber Cup Golf Tournament (Early Bird Registration Now Open)
This four (4) person BEST BALL SCRAMBLE is the major fundraiser event of the summer for the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce! This year’s event is scheduled for Monday, August 22, 2018. Online Registration is now open. Register and pay early and take advantage of the Early Bird Discounts!
Enjoy a beautiful afternoon of golfing at Peters Sunset Beach Resort's Pezhekee National Golf Course. All golfing packages include a meal, catered by the Minnewaska House.
Cash, Prizes, and Trophies will be awarded the day of the event also! Not interested in golfing, consider sponsoring a hole at the tournament for golfers to see!
The golf tournament  is filled with a day of fun
activities and events, both on and off the course. Please note the date and location change from the former events which used to be held in September each year!
