We have many groups and businesses that use our meeting room, so we do have a great deal of people coming in and out of our building. GROW GLENWOOD WEEKLY BROWN BAG LUNCH MEETINGS this Week, August 9th Next Meeting: August 9, 2018! Local area businesses/property owners and the general public is invited to attend a Glenwood Complete Streets project weekly updates. Project staff will be available to answer project-related questions. Learn more about the project times lines, staging and detour plans. The weekly updates will be provided during lunch hours, but these sessions are a "Bring Your Own Lunch" format if you wish. The updates will provide an opportunity for project staff to provide updates of what happened this week, what to expect next week, answer questions, etc. Informational updates will also be available on the Grow Glenwood and MnDOT webpages for those that cannot attend. These meetings are provided as a method to keep everyone informed of what's happening and what to expect from start to finish during the project. The weekly Grow Glenwood Brown Bag Lunch Meetings are Thursdays from 12:00-1:00 p.m., bring your own lunch and get the updates. Music in the Park - Thursday, August 16, 2018 7:00 p.m. Glenwood City Park Darlene And the Boys delight in entertaining an audience with their traditional country sound! While they do incorporate some newer country and other music genres into their show, they never stray too far from their greatest passion that is the "Golden Era" of traditional country music! Darlene and Kenny Nelson first started Darlene and the Boys back in 2010. Their musical journey began in 1987. With many trips to Nashville where Darlene performed on numerous TV/radio stage shows. Darlene was also a multiple winner of Nashville's "BE A STAR" and has recorded in "Music City". Each member of Darlene And the Boys brings his or her own personal influences to the stage, by the music of such notable artists as - Johnny & June Carter Cash, Patsy Cline, George Strait, Hank Williams, Patty Loveless, Loretta Lynn, Dwight Yoakam, Buck Owens, the Judds, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Martina McBride, Merle Haggard to name a few. Staying true to the sound, while adding their own personal touches to each song. The concert will be held rain or shine.
