Pope County Farmers' Market, Glenwood
The Pope County Farmers' Market, Glenwood is open on Tuesday evenings from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
The market is located at the parking lot south of the Pope County Museum (look for the Totem Pole) on State Highway 104 South.
We have a good variety of products and vendors.

Sons of Norway Gathering -
The public is invited to the Sons of Norway gathering at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4. This event will be held in the chapel of the Glenwood Retirement Village.
The guest presenter will be Pastor Dan Bowman of rural Sacred Heart. He was scheduled for last April, but a snowstorm canceled his coming. Pastor Dan will play hymns, gentle folk tunes and also classical tunes.
There are lessons to be learned from lefse making and eating; Dan has incorporated these spiritual lessons into what he calls, the Lefse Catechism. Coming from a missionary family, he calls himself a missionary to the "Norwenglish."
The evening will be entertaining for all, and all are invited.

Mark your calendars and make plans to join Commissioner Charles Zelle and others from MnDOT, the City of Glenwood, Pope County, elected officials, and Grow Glenwood Committee members as we celebrate "Community Pride" with the grand re-opening of Minnesota Avenue and ribbon cutting.

Every year, we struggle to find adequate words to thank all the people who do such kind, generous, and outright amazing things to make Songs of Hope possible. From a Fourth of July picnic to meals on tour, from Twins tickets to rides on the Lark Toys carousal, from church basements and school gyms where kids roll out sleeping bags to beautiful performance venues, from contributions of money to the gift of a beautiful cajon for use in our Arts-in-Service performances, from pizza for lunch to sacks of fresh corn for dinner, the list is long and inspiring. Since we cannot find adequate words, attached are photos of the final 2018 performance that say what your help and support truly means.

The Glenwood Retirement Home Foundation will hold its 20th Annual Fundraising Dinner on Friday evening, September 7th at 6:00 pm at the Lakeside Ballroom. A silent auction will be held and music will be provided by “The Velvet Brass”. Tickets may be purchased at the reception desk of GRV or from any Board member.
