Sons of Norway Gathering - The public is invited to the Sons of Norway gathering at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4. This event will be held in the chapel of the Glenwood Retirement Village. The guest presenter will be Pastor Dan Bowman of rural Sacred Heart. He was scheduled for last April, but a snowstorm canceled his coming. Pastor Dan will play hymns, gentle folk tunes and also classical tunes. There are lessons to be learned from lefse making and eating; Dan has incorporated these spiritual lessons into what he calls, the Lefse Catechism. Coming from a missionary family, he calls himself a missionary to the "Norwenglish." The evening will be entertaining for all, and all are invited. A silent auction will be held and music will be provided by “The Velvet Brass”. Tickets may be purchased at the reception desk of GRV or from any Board member.
