Living Nativity

Thank you to those that volunteered for the Magical Christmas in Glenwood Community Supper.  Glenwood Waterama, Alexandria Blizzard Hockey team members, Shelley Svec, Emily Mangen and Dean Peterson.  We served 276 meals. 

Thank you to our vendors:  Erickson’s Petting Zoo, Janet Fossen - Clueless the Balloon Twister and Hatchery Catering - Stacy Gerdes and staff.

Did you know we had an all green event.  We worked with Pope/Douglas  Solid Waste Management who provided all the plates, napkins, glasses and silverware.  They collected  five bags of Organics which weighed 20 pounds all together.  One bag of recycling (cardboard, milk jugs, etc.) and one grocery size plastic bag of trash. Amazing!

We are in need of a few more actors for the living nativity.  We have two shifts 4:00-5:30 p.m. and 5:30-7:00 p.m.  (No speaking parts) just be part of the scene.  Costumes are provided and can be worn over warm winter clothes.  Call Kay at 634-3636 if you would like to volunteer.

NOTE:  the Living nativity will be on First Avenue NW the lot north of the Chamber/Welcome Center.  The location changed due to the grounds being to wet and muddy to be able to set up there this year.   

Tom's Market will provide refreshments for the evening, those will be located outside by the nativity or if too cold inside the Chamber/Welcome Center lobby.  Come and join us as reflect on the "reason for the season".
