The Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber & Welcome Center will participate with a team at the Pope County Relay for Life on Friday, June 7 at Barsness Park. 

You can join our team by going on-line or you can dedicate a luminaria.  The luminaria can be purchased at the Chamber & Welcome Center for $10.00.  Each luminaria sold by us at our building will go to our team's fundraising.

Everyone of us has been touched by cancer in some way.  Friends, relatives, caregivers, and survivors.  Join us in the fight!

Pope County Mobile Food Drop
Glenwood United Parish
12:00 p.m.
(Registration begins at 11:00 a.m.)

The Pope County Mobile Food Drop is a monthly food distribution event coordinated by United Way of Douglas & Pope Counties.  Attendees at the Food Drop register, then go through a line where they are able to receive an assortment of food, free of charge.  The Pope county Food Drop takes place at 12 p.m. at Glenwood United Parish 10 17th Ave. NW.  Anyone wo lives in Pope County is able to attend. Pease bring your own boxes to carry food received.

The second annual “Day of Caring” is an event where all the students, staff and volunteers representing Minnewaska Area Schools give something back to all our communities’ for everything they have given us!  The event is slated for Wednesday, May 1, and the students and staff of Minnewaska Area Schools (MAS) are looking for those who would like their help.

Senior citizens, homebound individuals and those living in the Glenwood, Starbuck, Lowry, Villard, and surrounding areas who need assistance completing outdoor household projects are encouraged to apply. Business owners are also encouraged to apply! 

We are also looking for area businesses who may be interested in partnering with us to work along side the students while completing the community service projects.
