Glenwood Waterama Junior Royalty Applications now being accepted for this year’s Glenwood Waterama Junior Royalty competition. The Junior Royalty Coronation will be held Saturday, July 27^th. Any girl interested in competing for the crown must be a current resident of Pope County and/or a student enrolled in a school district within Pope County. She must have competed first or second grade by the end of this school year (2018-2019). All applicants may run one time only. Along with their families, the Junior Waterama Queen and Junior Waterama Princess will participate in local Waterama events, as well as attend numerous parades and festivals throughout Minnesota over the course of the year. Registration deadline is Friday, June 7, 2019. A limit of 16 applicants will be accepted. Pope County Mobile Food Drop Pope County Mobile Food Drop Glenwood United Parish 12:00 p.m. (Registration begins at 11:00 a.m.) The Pope County Mobile Food Drop is a monthly food distribution event coordinated by United Way of Douglas & Pope Counties. Attendees at the Food Drop register, then go through a line where they are able to receive an assortment of food, free of charge. The Pope county Food Drop takes place at 12 p.m. at Glenwood United Parish 10 17th Ave. NW. Anyone wo lives in Pope County is able to attend.
