The NEWCOMERS Group Kick-off will be Thursday evening, June 13, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Lakeside. Reservations are required. To register visit the Welcome Center or Chamber website or call Kay at 634-3636. REGISTER BY 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11^th. The Glenwood Lakes Area Welcome Center received a “Change Makers” grant from West Central Initiative for the Welcome Program. The Welcome Center and Chamber have had a Welcome Program since 2013 with personal visits with new residents and businesses. This grant will help expand this program by adding a Newcomers Group. Music in the Park - June 13th - Terry Nelson Band Wonderful Wednesdays Begins June 12th Flyer Riding For a Cause - Saturday, June 15th Ride for Glacial Ridge Hospice is Saturday - The 23^rd Annual Motorcycle Ride and Car Run will take place on Saturday, June 15. Due to road construction, the ride routes will be different this year. Departing from Glenwood City Park, the route will wind through the scenic rolling hills of Pope County with a stop at Brooten Fire Hall. Lunch and registration will be at 11:00 a.m. with the Afternoon Hospice ride takes approximately two and a half hours with a break halfway between the ride, it was stated. Drawings for prizes will be held after the ride returns to the park and refreshments will be available. The Hospice night ride will take place at 9 p.m. and will leave the Glenwood City Park and travel around Lake Amelia in Villard. Free will donations will go toward Glacial Ridge Hospice.
