Locally owned businesses contribute to the local economy through taxes and their involvement with the community. Most give back through donations as well, as these businesses are often asked to support the community through fundraisers and donations. Here are some easy ways to support Goddard businesses! Purchase from local businesses first! If you do not have the means to purchase from local businesses you can still help! You can like their social media pages, share their posts, refer friends/family! Take part in Goddard’s Amazing Race through August 31 and get to know some of your local businesses and win prizes! Prizes include gift certificates to local businesses! Purchase a Back to Business Box from the Chamber of Commerce which includes coupons and items from local businesses. Boxes are now on sale at the Goddard Chamber office for $10. (B2B boxes are approx. $40 value). All money made from the boxes goes to help promote shopping local Staying local helps promote future growth, it is convenient and puts tax dollars back into your own community. Shopping local creates relationships, partnership and community! Goddard's Amazing Race The Amazing Race is back and better than ever! Goddard’s Amazing Race encourages residents to get out and explore their community this summer and get to know our Chamber members a little better. There are 18 Race Stops this year and 9 of those are featured Finish Line Sponsors! Race cards can be picked up at any Race Stop! Goddard Chamber Business and Citizen of the Year Awards Deadline November 30, 2020 https://www.goddardchamber.net/bcyear.html It is time again to nominate for the Goddard Chamber Business and Citizen of the year! Deadline to nominate is November 30, 2020. Winners will be selected by a committee made up of Goddard Chamber members. Winners will be announced at the 2021 Goddard Chamber Annual Mixer in January. Goddard Chamber Favorite Teacher Favorite Teacher 2020 Deadline September 30, 2020 The Goddard Chamber is excited to host the 2020 Favorite Teacher Awards virtually! Anyone can nominate their favorite teacher from any Goddard area school! Tell us their name, which school and why they are your favorite! Winning teachers will receive gift cards!
