About Bell County Crime Stoppers
Bell County Crime Stoppers
Welcome to Bell County Crime Stoppers, a trusted pillar in the fight against crime since its inception as Killeen Crime Stoppers in 1981. Rooted in the principles established by the original program in Albuquerque, New Mexico, we have diligently followed the set guidelines and procedures to maintain a robust and effective crime-fighting initiative. Our organization operates under the leadership of a dedicated volunteer civilian board of directors, in collaboration with a coordinator from the Killeen Police Department, the media, and the community at large. Together, we work tirelessly to reduce crime and bring criminals to justice, upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Bell County Crime Stoppers has earned prestigious recognition from both the State of Texas and Crime Stoppers International, standing out as one of the most productive programs worldwide for its population. Our commitment to excellence is evident through numerous accolades, including awards for the highest number of cases cleared, the recovery of the highest dollar amount of narcotics and/or stolen property, and the biggest annual increase in crime resolution. As we continue to make significant strides in crime prevention, we invite you to join us in our mission to create a safer community.
