Our mission at T/SGT Jack D. Levy American Legion Post 573 aligns with the overarching goals of the American Legion, which was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. As the nation's largest wartime veterans service organization, we are committed to mentoring youth, sponsoring wholesome community programs, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting national security, and fostering continued devotion to our servicemembers and veterans. Our programs, including American Legion Baseball and Operation Comfort Warriors, reflect our dedication to education, support for wounded warriors, and the well-being of veterans and their families. At the core of our efforts lies a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization driven by grassroots involvement and a strong sense of obligation to the community, state, and nation. We thrive on active membership, participation, and volunteerism, believing that the success of the American Legion depends entirely on the people it serves and the communities in which it thrives. Join us in our mission as we continue to make a positive impact one community at a time.
