Charis Church was established in 1980 in Killeen, Texas, initially as a humble home dedicated to worshiping God wholeheartedly and serving others with compassion and kindness. From the outset, it was envisioned as a sanctuary filled with God's presence. This vision remains our core passion and drive. Our desire is for God to dwell among us, not just as a temporary visitor but as a permanent resident. Over the years, Charis Church has evolved into a diverse, multigenerational, and multicultural congregation, making a significant impact not only in Killeen but also across the region, the state of Texas, and beyond.

Our mission is to nurture and empower a new generation of children and young adults who are dedicated to serving the Lord in their own time. At Charis Church, our goal is for everyone to recognize this as a haven. We acknowledge that none of us are perfect or have all the answers. Therefore, we strive to create a welcoming space for individuals who might be disillusioned with religion, those who have suffered from negative experiences in church, or even those who have never stepped foot in a church before. Our aim is for everyone to feel embraced and cherished, reflecting the very heart of Jesus' gospel.
