EVUCC Seeks Director of Audio/Visual Ministries

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position:
Director of Audio-Visual Ministries 
 
Purpose:
The Director of Audio-Visual Ministries leads all areas of multimedia and technical productions in a manner to glorify Christ to further the mission and ministry during all worship services, ministries, and special events at EvUCC.
 
Accountability:
Reports to the Pastor.
 
Responsibilities:
  1. Audio/Video Engineering and Technical Support
    1. Provide a high-quality sound mix for all worship services including but not limited to rehearsals, choir, cantatas, weddings etc.
    2. Provide a high-quality audio and video recording/stream of services.
    3. Provide operation of lighting used for worship services and events.
    4. Position performs set-up, testing and tear-down of equipment for special services and or events.
    5. Ensures that the Audio-Visual Ministries department follows and meets all copyright laws in cooperation with the Music Director.
       
  2. Volunteer Training
    1. Recruit, train, oversee and nurture all volunteers for various aspects of this ministry, and enable them to assist in accomplishing these goals. 
    2. Responsible for Coordinating and Publishing a schedule for all volunteers working worship services and special events at EvUCC.
       
  3. Repairs and Maintenance
    1. Maintain and upgrade all sound, light, and audio/video equipment systems as needed.
    2. Maintain a current inventory list of all equipment, as well as an updated maintenance/replacement schedule. Coordinate necessary repairs of equipment as needed in accordance with ministry budget while following the established process of approval and documentation.
    3. Develop and submit an annual financial budget.
       
  4. Spiritual and Administrative
    1. Ability to maintain good relationships and communication with all supervising personnel as well as with recruited volunteers.
    2. This individual must be a team player but also be a team leader. A Biblical standard for conduct is always expected and necessary and must adhere to the Church Staff Covenant.
 
            
Qualifications:
  1. Candidate must have experience with Audio-Visual equipment, including, but not limited to, sound board, ProPresenter/PowerPoint and most, if not all, web-based technologies, graphic design, live streaming, and sound/video productions.
  2. Creative visionary willing to step “outside the box” using media and resources for the purpose of enhancing the worship experience.
  3. Must be professional, possess good communication and problem-solving skills, is self-motivated, and detail oriented.
  4. Possess the ability to be responsive and flexible to the mission and vision of the congregation for events that take place during the week or weekends.
  5. Must be reliable and punctual.     
 
Evaluation:
            Annually in accordance with the Policy Manual.
 
Salary:
            Part time, salary-exempt commensurate with experience and education.
 
Physical Demands / Work Environment
 
            The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of 
those demands that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential                   functions of this job and the environmental characteristics the employee will encounter while performing those functions. The individual must be able to move about, have manual dexterity, and be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
 
The work environment is a generally well-lit HVAC-controlled sanctuary, classroom, and large meeting space. There will be times when working outside will be required. Some areas used are not universally accessible. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
 
This position is currently part time. The position will require work on Sundays and may require work on holidays.
