An invitation to small businesses in Southern Illinois to participate in the fourth of our free Virtual Roundtable Series:The ITC has created a forum to discuss export challenges, where you can bounce ideas off of your regional exporting peers, and develop solutions to navigate these unchartered waters to remain successful in selling your goods and services to international markets. Our fourth in a series of Virtual Roundtables is focused on assisting you with the questions you might have. The ITC stands ready to serve as a resource. To that end, we would like to invite you to participate in a 90-minute Zoom connection, “Selecting the Right Logistics Partner & Incoterms 2020,” that is uniquely created for current and potential exporters like you who are located in Southern Illinois. On Thursday, February 25th from 10:30am to noon (CDT), you will have the opportunity to ask questions, share challenges and gain solutions as well as learn about criteria to aid in selecting a Freight Forwarder as well as gain some details on INCOTERMS (the world’s essential terms of trade for the sale of goods, published by the International Chamber of Commerce). Certainly this information will support your exporting objectives. Working with a valuable forwarder and understanding INCOTERMS will aid your existing export sales, helping you to capture more market share! These two topics will be discussed during this fourth-in-a-series Virtual Roundtable discussions. Tom Dustman, an international sales executive with 25+ years of experience who serves on the National District Export Council for the Midwest region, will moderate our session. Southwest Illinois Trade and Investment Council President Craig Eversmann (a Collinsville exporter as President of MSSC LLC) will share selection criteria for a logistics partner and their own experiences with INCORTERMS that have enabled his company to thrive in the wake of COVID-19. Craig’s personal invitation to participate is enclosed. In addition, we will have representatives from one of the largest Freight Forwarders, C.H. Robinson participating in the Roundtable and give their view points on the topics. We will also share the latest regarding state and federal funding opportunities for export growth available through the Illinois STEP program (ISTEP) and the most recent CARES Act. Will you join us? There is no fee to attend but registration is required. Note: This program is limited to businesses located in the Southern Illinois region Registration deadline is Monday, February 22.
