Prospective Billing Reminders
Last March, we provided you with information about the Ohio BWC’s change over to prospective billing. While the new system will take effect July 1, 2015 for private employers and January 1, 2016 for public employers, the BWC has already started the process.
What Private Employers Need To Do Now
You will be receiving a payroll report for your July, 2014 – December, 2014 premium soon. Complete the report and submit it to the BWC with your payment no later than March 2, 2015.
Public Employer Information
The only effect prospective billing will have on public employers in 2015 is concerning the deadlines to enroll in programs like Group and Individual Retrospective Rating, One Claim and the Deductible programs. The applications to enroll in those programs must be submitted no later than July 31, 2015. Applications for the Destination: Excellence programs, which includes the Transitional Work Bonus, Industry Specific Safety Program and Drug Free Safety will be due November 30, 2015.
