Members of the Chamber have an incredible opportunity to market their products, services and businesses during the Simpson College Campus Fest community event to be held September 5, 2014.

The Chamber is putting together 50 bags that can be filled with your marketing information, goodies, and trinkets.  This is a great opportunity to connect with individuals within our community, as well as alumni from Simpson College.  The bags will be handed out to the first 50 attendees (not including Simpson College faculty, staff and students).

Please drop your off your goodies at the Chamber by August 29, 2014.

In addition, the Chamber has been asked to work the Beer and Wine Tent during the event which is open 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.  If you are interested in helping at this event, marketing your company, and engaging with lots of people please contact me.  I will need 4 volunteers for each of the following time slots:

                4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

                5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

                7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Simpson College is offering Chamber members an opportunity to meet new students, parents and guests during its Indianola Community Showcase.  Deadline for registering for this event is August 15, 2014.

This is a free opportunity for you to showcase your products/services to 400 new students and their families and is an opportunity to start building a relationship with them.

Simpson will provide you with an 8 foot table and would love for you to bring your display items, interactive table ideas, coupons, samples, small give-aways, etc.

Time:  1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Set-up can begin at noon that day, but other accomodations can be made ahead of time if needed.)

We have two store-front windows approximately 3' x 7' that members can rent for a month showcasing their business.  The cost per window for one month is $600.  A bargain when you compare this 24/7 advertisement opportunity to a full-color, full-page ad that runs once a week for 1 month that will cost you more than $3,600!

Starting in January 2015, this opportunity will be packaged with other marketing, education/awareness, membership, and other resources new to the Chamber that members may participate in or take advantage of.

You are invited to attend the Simpson College Campus Fest and Wayne Carswe Storm Golf Classic on September 5, 2014, which includes numerous events and activities open to the community, alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends of the College.  You can participate in 3 ways: 

• The Golf Tournament and 19^th Hole Campus Fest for $125/person
• The social, buffet dinner and all of the campus activities for $20/per person
• Just come for the entertainment, games and activities, bring a lawn chair and enjoy the evening for free.

Campus Fest will take place on the Pedestrian Plaza and feature live bands, wine tasting and beer garden, a picnic buffet dinner and games along with silent and live auctions and a raffle.

• An 18 hole, 4 person best shot Golf Tournament at Indianola Country Club. The tournament starts at 11:30 am and the $125/ person entry fee includes lunch at the course, dinner and activities at the Campus Fest
• Live Bands including Sonny Humbucker Band starting at 4:15 pm and the Monday Mourners starting at 7:00
• Wine tasting and beer garden starting at 4:15 pm
• Campus tours of Simpson’s newest facility improvements
• Picnic buffet and 2 drink tickets for $20.00/person that will start at 5:15 pm
