CALL TO ACTION - VOLUNTEER - MAKE IT HAPPEN

We need you!  New members, veteran members come one come all!

I am seeking sponsors and committee members for two upcoming events:

Simpson “Night on the Square”
Date:  TBD but likely mid to late September or early October
Goal:  Connect students with our local merchants and educate and inform them about what Indianola has to offer them.  This audience calls Indianola home for at least 9 months out of the year.  This is a great opportunity for Chamber members to make them feel welcome, part of this community and help them find the goods and services they need.

Holiday Traditions Extravaganza
Date:  November 21, 2014
Time:  5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Goal:  Kick-off to holiday season by showcasing local merchant businesses and enticing Indianola community and surrounding communities to “Think Indianola First” when purchasing gifts for their loved ones.  This festive event has become a holiday tradition for the community so be a leader and help make this happen!

There are sponsorship opportunities available for both of these events.  Watch for more information soon.

Reminder: Marketing Opportunity - Gathering Marketing Items for Campus Fest

Members of the Chamber have an incredible opportunity to market their products, services and businesses during the Simpson College Campus Fest community event to be held September 5, 2014.

The Chamber is still collecting marketing information, coupons, goodies, and trinkets for 50 bags.  This is a great opportunity to connect with individuals within our community, as well as alumni from Simpson College.  The bags will be handed out to the first 50 attendees (not including Simpson College faculty, staff and students).

Please drop your off your goodies at the Chamber by August 29, 2014. Thank you to all of the businesses who have already dropped off your promotional items.  The bags will only be as good as we make them.

I still need volunteers to work the Beer and Wine tent during this event!  If you are interested in helping at this event, marketing your company, and engaging with lots of people please contact me.  I will need 4 volunteers for each of the following time slots:

4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. - full
5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. - 3 needed
7 p.m. to 9 p.m. - 4 needed

Please volunteer today by contacting me at 515-961-6269, cell phone at 515-442-6838, or by email at chamber@indianolachamber.com.
